Guide d'entretien

Art care guide

Simple steps to keep your Joffz pieces looking gallery fresh for many years.

Prints

Unboxing and handling

Open your parcel carefully and avoid using sharp blades near the print surface.

  • Wash and dry your hands before touching the print.
  • Hold the paper by the edges to avoid fingerprints and dents.
  • If your print arrives rolled, unroll it slowly and allow it to relax on a clean flat surface under light weight for a few hours.

Paper and inks

Our artworks are produced on premium matte paper with archival quality inks. With basic care they are made to last for many years without noticeable fading.

Frames

Framed pieces

Framed artworks arrive ready to hang. To protect the frame and acrylic front:

  • Lift framed pieces by holding both sides of the frame, not by the top edge or hanging hardware.
  • Place the frame on a soft surface when changing walls or rearranging your space.

Cleaning the surface

Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently remove dust from the frame and acrylic.

Avoid glass cleaner, household sprays or water directly on the artwork, since liquids can mark the surface or seep behind the frame.

Placement

Where to hang your art

  • Avoid direct sunlight for long hours every day. Even with high quality inks, intense sun over time can cause fading.
  • Choose walls that do not face strong humidity, such as directly above radiators or in bathrooms without good ventilation.
  • For best visibility, hang the center of the artwork at eye level or slightly above the back of a sofa.

Hanging hardware

Use appropriate wall plugs and hooks for your wall type. For heavy frames or gallery walls, consider professional installation to make sure everything is perfectly secure.

Everyday care

Cleaning routine

  • Dust lightly once or twice a month with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths or paper towels on acrylic fronts.
  • If moisture gets on the frame, wipe it off gently and let it dry at room temperature.

Storage

If you ever store your prints, keep them flat in a clean, dry place, inside the original sleeve or acid free tissue paper. Avoid attics, basements and areas with big temperature changes.

Quick answers

Will my print fade over time?

Our prints use high quality archival inks on premium paper. Normal indoor conditions with limited direct sun should keep your artwork vibrant for many years.

Can I hang my art in a bathroom?

Short term steam is usually fine in a well ventilated bathroom, but constant humidity is not ideal. If the room stays humid for long periods, we recommend hanging your Joffz pieces in a drier space.

How do I clean marks on the print itself?

Avoid rubbing the paper surface. Most light dust can be removed with a very soft brush. If a print is heavily marked or damaged, contact us with photos and we will explore replacement options with you.
